Free Floral

Free Floral

Wait, spring isn't over yet. In fact, as all the climatic changes the mother earth is going thru, is probably that we'll have spring for two more months before summer. Aww the long awaited summer.

We are gathered here to see what spring still have under the sleeve for us. As you all know, spring always is about florals patterns, so 2013 is no exception.

Some designers based their collections on the new modern floral, which I think is too edgy bordering on grunch, so I made a more chic version on florals for this style guide. If you are a complete grunch style, you can use some of the items I choose but with shoes a bit tough for example, and stay away from anything too pretty. ;)

I'm not going to make an extended version of what you should wear with this kind of pattern 'cause we've already seen it a few guides ago;  and with florals as any kind of pattern, the rules are exactly the same.

Remember not to mix a heavy pattern with other, altough you can combine stripes with florals and still make it chic. In fact, is a common combination since the past year.

When I choose floral printed shoes or clutches, I like to combine them with some neutral color dress or a monochromatic outfit because all I want and should do is them to have all the attention. You bought it for a reason, to step forward, to give the item what they deserve, be on the spotlight. You have to be pretty sure which garment on your outfit you want to stand out. There's always one.

Accessorize your printed with delicate and glamour jewerly.

Enjoy what is left of spring. Fall in love with flowers, and love!

Skirty Skirts

Skirty Skirts

Skirts have been worn by men and women from many cultures, their names vary between Lungi, kanga and sarong in South Asia and kilt in Scotland and Ireland.

Since 1860's skirts started to change style, they were floor lenght; became short in the 1920's and even shorter in the 30's, up until our days. Skirts have always been a sign of feminism  and status. The are the most feminine garment one can have in an outfit.

There are too many types of skirts, A-line, poodle, mini, pencil, praine,  to name a few, and you can choose whichever your style is for any kind of event that you have.

Skirts are always going to make you look flattering, is the thing about them, doesn't matter if they are shorts or long. Eventhough it have been worn by men for too long, it makes them look feminine too! XD

This time I have choosen three kinds of skirt that you can wear everyday at anytime.

To work, I recommend not to use minis, you have to be professional on what you do and what you are. You are not going to sell yourself. I don't agree either with those that are too attached to your skin, it makes you look tacky and the kind of girl nobody wants to have in their companies. Unless, you are the type of girl that apply to a job to get a one night stand. Try to choose more comfortable and elegant skirts, an A-line, maxi or mid leg skirt is a great choice, and if you like colors, printed and all colours are allowed!

For a date or a girls night out, choose whichever your style is, there's no limits, what makes you feel sexy, chic and glam, try it inmediately!

Skirts are easy to wear, and easy to combine. I personally think that is the most versatile garment on our closets, works for everything and is a girl trademark! Match it with any kind of shoes that you want to put it in. A girl never has enough skirts.

Have a blasting Weekend!

Let's do Green.!

Let's do Green.!

Enough of black and white, emerald green is our great choice for this style guide!

Emerald, the trendiest hue of 2013. Pantone, international colour experts, named it as " the colour of the year". A color by which I think is elegance itself.

I choose some outfits you can wear with it. I don't recommend a monochromatic look because it's too much of a heavy colour, you'll look odd and extravagant. Two words that doesn't combine with anything.

  • For green trousers, you can wear a light colour or light printed fabric to enhance and level up the wild look; you can add an aztec printed bag that is still a strong trend right now.
  • Jeans are so easy to combine with everything, so I choose a green heels and blazer for this outfit; try to include a neutral colour if you choose both. The great thing about the emerald jacket is that is optional, if you feel too matching, just put the jacket aside.
  • A maxi dress is always a fancy and a wonderful choice if you want to look glamorous; the one that I picked up is a versatile one, can be use day and night. The dress itself ask for a chic flats, but wedges is a nice option too; this kind of gown will make you look completely flattering. A sparkle clutch is a useful and a fashionable choice.

  • And last but not least, skirts, choose a printed colorful top that combines with green. This outfit is a more casual and comfortable one without being boring. Remember that the outfit attitude is giving by you!

Too much of a color in one piece is overwhelming, so try to pick pieces that defines your look or just one that you know is going to be the personal spot or the center of it.

Stay green, the nature will be grateful!
