Glam into Surf

Glam into Surf

Is there any summer sport better than surf? Of course not! Is not an easy to control sport but this season we'll become masters of it.

Surf is all about adrenalin, risk, beach, sun and fashion (you are never going to see some girl wearing tacky clothes to go surfing or to surf parties). Long time ago was a sport practiced by just men, women that have tried it were define as "tomboy", as ridiculous as it sounds, this adjective was for the way they dressed. Nowadays, of course and thank to God, this false afirmations by strange and mind closed people, are totally behind us. Girls that surf have the most boho chic style when wearing clothes; is a unique and glam style that leaves all the rest looking bad, really bad.

I chose three different styles for a hot surfing day, these were picked following the hippie trendy style, which in my opinion works perfectly for everytime.

  • The first one, shorts are basics for the beach, you can make it more glam with a lace top an a flat pair of booties; tote bags are a must when we have the need to fit all our stuff in there, make it chic with color and fancy fabrics.
  • The second one, is an outfit that can be used by day and night, is super comfy, fresh and with a colorful touch, a shoulder bag gives a hippie chic look. Acsessories are the life for this golden outfit, simple and sparkling.
  • And last but not least, nights cannot be forgotten, you can turn a simple plain sleeveless dress into  fancy with a pair of matching stilettos, clutch and silver/gold accesories. Remember that accesories are the final and principal garment in your outfit.

If you notice, blue is in every piece of the outfits, well, is surfing color and is going to be "it" from now on again. Besides, every outfit shows comfort, chicness and a hippie touch which are the three ingredients for surfing looks.

"Life is a lot like surfing, when you get caught in that impact zone, you need to get right back up because you never know whats over the next wave."- Bethany Hamilton.

Crop Trend

Crop Trend

This is the trend that has been on the spotlight for quite some time but has taken impulse this summer.

This trend isn't for everyone, you have to be very careful and too confident with yourself to wear it. We can call it a little edgy.

As flattering as it is, simple and less structure is one of its best qualities. This tops can be worn with everything, from pants, pencil skirts to shorts. The magic is on the chic touch you want to give.

One of the principal rules at the time to wear it, is to be skinny, this tops makes you look a little bit wider, you are going to show some flesh, so you have to make a balance between them.

At the time to match it with other of your garments, try always to focus on not make it look slutty, balance your top with items that makes you look stylish and cover yourself more at the bottom. How? A long pencil skirt, not too much make up, less accessories than usual, don't distract others to admire your look by giving them more than one point to stare!

Crop has something that I personally love and is that you can make it too glamorous as I show on the outfits I picked up specially for you.

Hope you can try it and let me know! Have a nice croping style!

Chic For Less

Chic For Less

For this week style guide, I chose three different chic outfits that will cost us less than 100 bucks.

Nowadays, we can find all kinds of brands and even designers that fit anyone budget. Of course we have to look for brands that besides prices, manage quality. We all want to wear the best for our style but with comfy prices.

Buying out of season has become a rare and absolute wrong myth when trying to reduce budget; brands like HM (now with the collaboration of Isabel Marant) offer us the ultimate fashion trends for spectacular prices and  have a great quality on fabrics, so you don't need to worry about loosing your clothes with just one wash.

On jewerly, there are so many brands that use steel, a bright material that never peels or rust and is more cheaper than gold for example; they come in the latest design that you have multiple choices at the time to shop.

I found a Betsey Johnson pair of heels totally in trend and under 100. Now shoes designers are capable of include all types of customers in their collections.

Shopping for less does not mean shopping trash, so always look for the best in terms of being comfortable with yourself.
