Grand Paris

Paris does not need an extensive introduction of how amazing is. Fashion week has been, in my opinion, the one that had everything to talk about, from eccentric runways as Commes de Garcons, until dynamic as Jean Paul Galtier and a lot of 70's on Chanel (which I loved it btw).

According with my fashion taste or how colorful I imagine spring 2015 will be, these are prints, dresses, fabrics, runways that caught my attention immediately. There are some  runways that I skip not because I think they are meaningless but because it's a matter of priorities ;).

Up next, designers that keep maintaining our five senses on their collections, stunning, fabulous and with airs of femininity.

Elie Saab
"Dive into the deep blue"
Retro inspired dresses, asymmetrical cuts, monochrome looks, laces that gives romance to the collection.   The black and white touch whit dégradé fabrics are a creative way to enhance an outfit. Saab shows us how blue and orange match perfectly.

Chanel

Tweed is simply a mark on this designer, a trend that never goes out of style; high waisted golden belts that, for me, are like a roman vibe, cropped pants are definitely a must, the new oxfords that looks sandalish ;) and of course, all the abstract floral printed fabrics that exhales joy. Karl staged a protest at the runway which was the final point for a retro fashion week!.

Viktor and Rolf

New silhouettes, yellow is a constant in almost every look, shorts, leggins that matched at a side with the main print, wide dresses, floral prints  and the shoes, love the bootie type of sandals.

70's at it's finest, very feminine,  gladiator sandals that rocks the retro vibe, super chic, tailor look made with lace which makes it more subtle, the movement that tranparencies  gives is, for a random girl,  like being in a red carpet day by day. Very 24/7 outfits. Impecable.

Impecable.

John Galliano

What can I say, amazing,  these greenish looks are a turn in everything we've been seeing in fashion week, different hues of green makes it versatile, bamboo prints, cropped jackets, platforms still runs a comfortable and elegant way to wear these outfits. It's like being in a very chic safari.

This young brazilian designer is still giving so much to talk about, futuristic vibe on prints and fabrics, shimmering rockish look, pencil skirts and biker jackets which continues highlighting the past few seasons. Red and yellow take us out of what could be the coventional mark of black and white in the entire collection; still in the line of the high waisted belts but with a twist of forms. Metallic rings set a trend.

Valentino

I finish my post with a top artist, this is what Valentino is. A shapely silhouette is what imposes on this collection. Notice that the gladiator sandals are still working on every single outfit. Valentino maintains the elegance of the woman designing for; layers and layers of transparencies that gives the illusion of a princess gown, in a way of saying so. Pastels and bright colors that gives multiple choices to make a difference.  Embroidered pieces that shine up on every garment. Simply Gorgeous.

Oh Milano..!

Milan is so colorful, so at a vanguard of style, that letting details out of this post is like turning fashion week into a secret.  Well, I could make a twenty six pages post, instead, I picked a few outfits from the streets that defines almost every trend we've seen so far and make it short and versatile.
Some of the outfits comes with a twist so you can adapt them to your personal wardrobe.

The trends that stand out the most this fashion week, are trends that will be on the spotlight for next season 2015, so, Milan has made us a little preview either on streets as on the runways.

  • Pleats, a lot of them, feminism to it's highest expression.
  • Polka dots with a pop of color that keeps reminding us that setting an outfit is all about dare to mix.
  • Platforms, this isn't one of my favorites, but I have to recognize that seeing it on the Roberto Cavalli show made reconsider wearing them; they seem very comfy, proper for chill/hot weather and plus, they gives you the height heels provide.
  • Fringe, I can't have enough of it, movement vibe,  love the boho touch gives to an outfit,
  • Pencil skirts paired with sporty jerseys/sweaters, a good stilettos and a jacket are the main reason why fashion has given a huge turn adapting new ways of looking chic. Midi lenght, the revival of the  40's.
  • Black and white and the other way around ;), a trend that no one wants to leave behind.
  • Mixed prints, to have a blast when matching them, a tip: always try to find at least, one color that connectn garments.
  • Hats, the chicest accesories an outfit can have.

Then, we have runways. I cannot be more thrilled about spring/summer 2015. It's going to be a colorful season, not plain at all, for all tastes, all styles, is full of live. Completely fashion forward without leaving our roots  behind.

These are my three top fashion shows, Roberto Cavalli, Etro and Just Cavalli. Ready-to-wear, a well defined term, an impecable runways, the prints and it's combinations are just mind blowing, boho chic style that enhance everything we will going to see on the upcoming season. Absolutely stunning.

As usually, hope you've found a little piece of Milan here. 'Till next time ;)

Estos son mis tres fashion shows favoritos, Roberto Cavalli, Etro y Just Cavalli.

London Calling...

London Calling... by silvanacasalins81 on polyvore.com

In this fashion weeks season, runways aren't the main reason why the world have their eyes on them.

Street style are mostly the biggest inspiration for all of us; designers, brands, people in the industry and fashion lovers, all make their point by showing different and unique styles at each city.

I think street style are ironically the best way to really understand what fashion is about.

In my latest post, New York was all about runway details, this time, the turn is for London and its sense of street fashion style.

London have showed us the huge turn in terms of coloring the streets with edgy looks. Trends that are making a statement and trends that are still remaining for the SS '15.

I have chosen five of the multiple look choices seen on the streets. These looks have what I like to call "trends to stay" in every single piece of the outfit.

We can see sporty paired with glam items, a trend that have captured our hearts and have made a great way to make you look chic. Stripes, animal print which is the new neutral; fringe which is the trendiest of all, according to me ;), I'm totally in love with these bohemian touch in every outfit and monochromes that this time white is the best hue for it and the main character for the upcoming seasons.

Something that caught my attention, are accessories, necklaces, I've seen a lack of them in the outfits. I think they standout by giving a great vibe to outfits. But, don't worry we are still seeing a lot of them.

Hope this brief resume will help you get an idea to pair your season looks. Try them all!!

Don't forget to stay tune! Next stop, Milano!

Swak..!

No olviden seguir sintonizados! La siguiente parada, Milano!

NYFW SS '15

Fashion week isn't over yet, but we needed a small review about what we've seen and most enjoyed of New York fashion week.

This post is all about details that have been highlighted for the upcoming season 2015.

Let's start with colors.  Black and white are still on, we can see a constant in every runway, stripes, florals, dots, mixed colors, everything that shows us that these colors are marking a huge trend. Although, I think white is much more the color that imposes next spring- summer season. Monochromatic looks in white are so stunning! like Christian Siriano shows us in his collection.

Pastels combined with vaporous fabrics; there's so much of it, next season is going to be as romantic as a pink movie, a lot of charm!  ;)

Embroidered pieces that give glam to the collection and is stil rocking it. There's no way a complete collection without embroidered items.

Geometrics, futuristic and prints that makes a difference with all that we've seen in the runways.

Shoes: yellow is a constant in every collection including shoes. Tweeds from Manolo Blahnik, embroidered pieces for the show. Also wearable shoes. Futuristic as Phillip Lim ones. And, as Nina García says , a dash of neon on Carolina Herrera heels.
